Anyone else treat their dog like its a kid? lol

Curious if anyone else treats their dog like its their child? We have a boxer, Xena, and she is a spoiled rotten fur baby for sure!!! And worse, she KNOWS it! lol

I treat my cats like kids. Our oldest is 20+ years old now, the age is showing. I have to make sure she eats, just like you would a child. I also cuddle her in my lap and talk to her.

Another cat owner here, although I grew up with dogs and would love to bring one into my home...

I don't really treat my pets as kids, I treat them as my buddies. I've never fussed all over them like you would a child, I usually harass them. ;-)

My dogs growing up and previous cat were definitely spoiled. This cat I can't spoil if I try. I've had her for about 5 months and after trying numerous treats and buying her several types of cat toys she just doesn't care about them.

We have a cat also--his name is Oscar and he is about 12 years old. And although Xena is the spoiled fur princess of the house, Oscar is definately the head fur king--and he sure knows that as well! LOL

Haha I love the title to this thread! I have cats, I treat them like cats... but sometimes I treat them like babies (and when I was a kid I used to dress them that way too haha)

our furbabys are spoiled and treated like our children since our hu-children are grown. we even talk to them like they are children and they seem to understand lol wouldnt have it any other way. we even dress them! of course there small

I have 2 Dogs Beau (a lab) and Daisy (Pit mix) and they are just like kids to my husband and I. The sleep in our bed (under the covers), Eat table scraps (my husband even feeds them off his fork) and we bathe them once a week sometimes more depending on what we have done. The only thing my husband will not let me do is put clothes on them.

My three cats are like my "babies". I just got a brand new kitten as a get well present about 3 weeks ago and she is already part of the family and already spoiled rotten! My other two cats, Emma and Chewy were spoiled the minute I adopted them and their attitudes now that they are older prove it! In fact, we call Emma "the Diva" because if she doesn't have it her way and just how she wants it she will give us the biggest 'tude! Chewy is know as "Mama's Boy" since he comes to me for pretty much anything he wants! And of course, I give it to him! LOL! How can I resist those big, beautiful eyes of his!

Ah well... that's a cat owner for ya!

My dog is also named Xena.... she's a Cairn Terrier. We have videos of her out on Youtube, getting belly rubs, playing ball, etc.

Dogs give unconditional love and they are wonderful companions. Right now, Xena is nosing in at my feet to lie down in a little ball. What could be cuter??

So the answer is, yes. She is like another child to me. :)
