We will stay in for New Year's Eve. I have made lots of snacks and we'll have leftover lasagne for our main meal. We'll watch the ball drop in New York, than toast when it's midnight here. Probably watch a few movies while we're waiting for midnight.
Tomorrow I will make a ham, yams, blackeyed peas and cabbage. After the meal, I will relax a bit and than I will probably start taking down the xmas decorations.
What are your plans?
We'll watch the ball drop and I'll call my mom to wish her a Happy New Year at midnight. Otherwise it is just like any other night at home. Works out well since I'd rather stay in than go out tonight. ;)
I made a big pot of chili for tonight and bought baby back ribs to put in the crockpot for tomorrow...again, nothing special.
After travelling for Christmas, I look forward to relaxing the couple of days I have off before heading to work so I'll be taking it easy tomorrow and if I feel ambitious I'll do some odds and ends around the house.
Since you are in TX, do you watch the ball drop real time or do they replay it for your time zone?
Take care

I haven't gone out for New Year's Eve for many years. I would much rather stay home. This year I'm recovering from pneumonia but managed to stay awake long enough to see the ball drop.
Today was a quiet day, and the weekend should be quiet too. We're supposed to get snow on and off throughout the weekend (with accumulations of 6" or so) so I won't be going anywhere.
I wish all of you a blessed, happy and healthy New Year.
