Because we travel via motorcycle, I keep my hair cut short. DH calls it, "helmet hair" :) I can take my helmet off, shake my head, run my fingers thorugh it and *opoof* it's in place. My problem is, volume. I decided to try some type of volumizer but there are so many on the market I don't know what to choose. What do you all suggest?

Short, straight and medium thick. I style it with a round brush and am hoping to find a product that will help with the volume such as a mouse or a gel. Any help you can give here, will help me and others. Feel free to share your favorites :)
I will be forever grateful!

I'd love to hear about a good volumizing product. I have straight, thin hair. Since I am forgoing the perms now and am going for more of a natural straight look, I could really use some volume in my hair.
A great volumizer product is Root Boost by Catwalk or Super Star by BedHead. Both products can be bought at a salon or places like Trade Secret, Ulta, etc. You spray them on before you blow dry.
Beachgirl, I'd love to hear your advice, too. I use to work in the hair care product industry. We might know the same people! ;)

Thank you for all the ideas (((ladies))). I just got my hair cut and foiled so now, I'm *really* on the hunt. A friend gave me a sample of Redken Full Frame and said it has lasting power. At least now, I have a list of products to look at. Thanks!!

Hello Beach girl,
I was wondering about Ogilvie straightener for hair.
Mine is natural curly, Razor thined and cut in layers from chin down. To wear it straight I wait for it to dry, and use a hot air brush of course with gel or finishing cream. It takes about 30 min. I just love the feel of my hair when its straight, not to mention the next day ,I wake up use the brush it looks great.
So I was thinking of using Ogilvie straightener(for all hair types)
Anyone ever try this?
I use the root boost too. My hair is straight as a board but when I use that with a round brush I can do anything with it I want. But it never helps me with my helment hair problem when I ride. I just keep a doo rag on and that takes care of that.

Hello ladies,
No one replied, so I did use the straighter, Thinking Its just hair right? Well, the first day I did it, and let it dry, I thought ,Oh my what did I just do  It was As straight as a board.
Then I used my hot air brush, and It looked like I always styled it. Great. Well you can't wash it for 48 hours.
So it started to look very straight (greasy) and feel nasty  I couldn't wait so 35 hours later I washed it, combed it out, oh wow it is still straight, but after I put my gel in and used my hot air brush, I do have to say it looks great, full of bounce, soft, shine. So after it is all said and done, I'm very happy with the results. For today :D
Tommorow I will try a curl inhancer and see how it works!! ;)
