HI Ladies:
Spring is almost here. What is your favorite thing to do
during the Spring? I have lots of things I want to do.
Clean my porch for BBQ's......... yum! I can't wait to get all my porch plants back out where they belong. We bring them in during the cold months and then when it warms up they all go back out on the porch. I have a closet that reallly needs to be cleaned BAD.. :(
I love to go for walks with DH and the dog. The days are getting nicer fast. What do you plan to do?
I look forward to having the windows open and spending more time outside.
Spring is also time to get the bike ready for riding, planning camping trips, getting the camping gear in order and swap things around in the garage so the grill is in front of the snowblower. :D
There are few other things that I'm not looking forward to doing, but I need to do when the weather cooperates. Those are organizing the garage (including putting up some shelving) and doing some painting (inside the house) is also on the agenda.
Take care

It's time to get the gardens into shape, especially after the winter we had. We're planning on doing mulch this weekend, than we will need to get some plants to replace the ones we lost.
The sun is finally shining here this afternoon, but it is a bit muggy. It's been an unusually cold and gloomy winter down here in SE Texas so I am really looking forward to sunshine.
I love watching the flowers bloom, opening the windows and letting the breeze blow thru the house. Spring here in SE Texas means Blue bonnets. We love to take a Road trip and see all the flowers. I think I may have a pic somewhere on my computer, I'll see if I can find one and add it to my gallery.

First, all of this snow needs to melt! Still have about a foot on the ground. But the first thing I'm going to do is wash my windows and curtains. I can't wait to open windows and let the fresh air in my house.
I also can't wait to get back on the track. I love to walk outdoors. Right now, the track is covered, and there is too much snow piled up on the corners and sides of the road. It's just not safe to walk there yet.

Spring means time to open the windows and smell the fresh crisp air.
I'm especially looking forward to this spring b/c our back yard neighbor died. This may sound bad, but he was noisy and always coming over when we were in the back yard. When he didn't come over, he'd sit on his back porch and watch what we were doing. He sexually abused his daughter in the 70's and I always was on edge when he was around. In our house we called him 'Old Man Ugly.' The name fit him to a T. He had a bulbous alcoholic nose, wore his shirts unbuttoned. The only work I ever saw him do was ride his lawnmower around the yard. Even when he was sitting on the porch, his wife was weeding the garden, planting or sweeping the porch. She I've never not seen her working.
So in the 5 years wev'e been hear, I feel like we finally have our back yard. We don't have huge plans, a garden and flowers. We have a patio set we will put out on the cement pad. We've been thinking about putting some sort of water feature in the back yard, but have put off even deciding if we want a fountain or small pond b/c it wouldn't happen until our back yard neighbor moved/died.
The only thing I'm not looking forward to is cleaning up the dog poop, in fact I'm going to work on that today. We have some of the snow gone and I'm determined to see a clean front yard asap.

Spring is like music to my ears! I am listening to the birds chirp right now and I think I can smell the grill heating upside at your place D'anne. Plants on a porch sounds so pretty...I love to get ferns and hang them from our front porch! What kind of plants do you place on your porches or patios?
I too look forward to getting outside JCME and sitting on my porch swing and not seeing snow on the ground anymore!
I wish for you many camping excursions!
Those BlueBonnets sound delightful YellowRose! Just the thought of anything blooming right now tickles my fancy! We usually get Mulch too and that is a great reminder to put that on my list.. ;) Yesterday I saw a bug moving and got excited about seeing some signs of life even a beetle... After the cold Winter we have had I doubt bugs will be a bad issue this year...That's one good thing about the cold :)
Oh Minimom, our snow melted as of yesterday! I am so thankful to see the ground again! I hope there are plenty of worms for the birds to eat this year from all the snow/water we had this winter! I know i really shouldn't complain because so many other people had tons of more snow that we did!
Wow, cleaning up Dog dooh ,I do my share of that too but at least the snow will eventually be gone Mykhal Jaems.
It is a shame your neighbor was that way but I am glad you will have the freedom to enjoy your backyard and feel safe and not have to worry about this man potentally harming you or any of your family members in anyway now.
Ps...is there any way for me to check my spelling here on these posts? Just curious?
Blessings to each of U!

I have a week off soon and I plan to clean all my windows
and clean my porch... I have no snow during winter so I pick up dog dooh every week........ :( Not my favorite job but it is under the Orange tree so If I want my Oranges I have to pick it up.... My Oranges were good this time. I love to hang baskets of things that flower on my porch. I don't have a favorite I love them all. Dh and I go to Lowe's and pick the prettiest baskets and take them home.
I am so glad "Old Man Ugly" Moved on........ :) So you can enjoy your back yard now.. Have fun!
I don't think there is spell check... Don't worry Choose2be we will understand. It is really nice here today the sun is out and I have the door open... I love it....

We are doing the mulch this weekend. I forgot how much hard work it is! We have lots of garden area so actually have to get a truck load. I think we're down to the last 5 wheelbarrels full. My back is aching, but the gardens do look and smell lovely. Yay spring! :yahooo:

Well YellowRose looks like that extra hour of daylight might be benefical to you especially with the mulch to spread. Your garden or flower beds will look so beautiful after its all done.
I have rested most of my weekend ...I caught a flu bug but feeling better this evening.

I have so missed the robins in the morning! They sound wonderful.
I like to start slowly with cleaning up the yard a bit. And looking at the inside to see what needs paint.
Seems like each Spring I redo a room a little bit and I have the room in mind.

Springs the start for lots of great things for me...
I love the birds singing in the am.. having the windows open and being able to get lots of fresh air... Dinner getting cooked out on the grill.... BBQ's with family and friends on the weekends...
Working in my yard, and in my garden planting flowers and giving my veggies lots of TLC... thats so relaxing for me.
Its also the start of Cheerleading for my girls and Baseball for my boys....
