Today the price of a gallon of gasoline is $2.71 here in Rhode Island. A week ago the price was $2.94. I hope this trend continues.
I've been travelling quite a bit and the prices have been dropping the last couple of weeks where I live (Michigan) and where I've gassed up the rental care (Maryland).
I hope the trend continues too. Cheaper gas prices could justify a few extra days for camping trips. :D

I've been paying in the $2.60-$2.65 range the last few weeks. Let's hope it keeps going down.

Gas here is falling into the $2.40-2.50 range. Most stations that is, still seeing $2.67 at some of the more expensive stations.

I saw the price come down to $2.64, but now it's $2.69. I guess the price is going to go back up now. :(
Yesterday at Costco it was $2.54 and I didn't feel like dealing with pumping gas since I knew I would pass it again today and found it was $2.59. :(
Take care

:grr: Prices climbing here. On my way to the grocery store yesterday, Valero was $2.67. Than when I went to HEB I saw that it was $2.54 at their pumps. There is usually not such a big difference between these two places. I found it kind of odd.
Not suprising gas is going up, a holiday is coming up. :(
Take care

Here in Pittsburgh it's around 2.72. But last week we were in the Outer Banks and paid 2.50. I thought it would be more expensive there and I was pleasantly surprised.

Still holding at $2.69 a gallon in Coventry, RI.
Just got back from a road trip where I travelled the Ohio and Pennsylvania Turnpikes. I've done this trip many times over the last 20 years, and never saw what I did this trip.
This was the first drive I did where the PA turnpike rest stop gas was cheaper than OH rest stop gas.
Rest stop gas prices were not the same at all the rest areas in OH. Usually the gase prices are the same in each state, but this trip the prices fluctuated by a cent or two within the same state.
As for local gas prices...
Today, I paid $2.63 at Costco. Other stations I passed ranged from $2.74-2.85. The most difference I ever saw was 10 cents between Costco and the other stations.
Take care

Holding in the $2.50 range here in Houston. I did see a $2.48 last week, but now it's back up in the $2.50 range.
I remember when gas first went over $2, everyone was shocked. Than it got up to $3-$4. I remember reading an article at that time that said we would be glad to get back to the $2 range and that gas would never again go below $2. They were soooo right. Who would've thought we would be happy to see $2.50. Sigh....
Anyone remember waiting in line to pay 28 cents a gallon because all the other stations were 32 cents? I was only 7 at the time but remember being in the car when my godmother did a big uturn when she saw the station that had gas for 28 cents a gallon. We had to wait in line for about 30 minutes.

We seem to be holding around $2.72 here. It had gone down a bit, but now it's back up again.
Kim, I had to laugh at your reminders of the "good old days". I remember being in my aunt's VW Bug and she left a gas station because they were charging $. 25 for gas and she knew she could get it for $.23 a gallon a little farther down the road! Those were the days!

Back then it was a high percentage of savings when gas was $.25-30/gallon.
Now when people drive to save a couple cents per gallong they waste more gas getting to the other station to justify the cost...but they still seem to do it.
However I will admit when I was working across town where gas was cheaper I did adjust my routine to get gas after work in that area versus doing my normal gas fill up on Sunday because it was a couple cents cheaper :D
Take care
