I'm sooo ready to see Summer end.

It's been a very hot, humid summer here in southern New England. It's bad enough when the daytime temps are in the 90's, but it's not easy to stay cool when the nighttime temps are in the mid 70's.

Today reached 84 degrees, and that's the last of the hot days for a while. The forecast for the next 10 days is for temperatures in the 70's with overnight lows in the mid - upper 50's.

I the cool, crisp mornings Fall brings and can't wait to see an end to the summer of 2010. :)

I can't say that I'm ready for summer to end, BUT I am ready for the hot weather to be gone. It seems like we were stuck inside most of the summer with hot, humid weather outside. The air conditioner never turned off. I could not go out due to asthma and the humidity sets it off. But on the other hand, I really don't want another winter like we just had! That was way too much snow.

I guess there is no pleasing me! :confused:

I don't like lots of snow, either, but compared to a summer full of hot and humid weather, I look at it this way. The snow is a huge inconvenience during a storm and the day after. Once the streets and driveways are clear, it's fine. So rather than a long hot season, a few snow days are easier to handle.

Actually, Fall is my favorite season. I love the smell and the crisp, cool mornings. Watching the trees as they turn into gorgeous shades of red, yellow and orange always excites me.

This year my summer was taken away because I was dealing with some personal issues and the weather made it too hot to do alot of stuff I wanted to do. I wanted to be rid of the 90+ degree weather, but didn't want Labor Day to come. To me that is the end of the summer, no longer being able to go to the pool, and volleyball being played along the lake shore.

However once Labor Day passes I do look forward to the crisp fall weather. The last few days it's been cool and great sleeping weather with the windows open. :D

I was finally able to turn off the a/c and sleep with the windows open last night. Woohoo! I am ready for the heat of summer to be gone, gone, gone. It has been a long and hot one.

I've been sleeping with the windows open and it is downright chilly. I had to pull up the comforter the other night.

As much as I thought summer was too hot, I do not want to dig my coats and sweaters out of their off-season storage area. :o

All of you ladies talking about opening windows at night - it makes me jealous! I so wish I could do that. I have a neighbor who drives a truck. Not an 18 wheeler type, but a BIG pickup and he pulls a huge trailer behind. When he starts it up it is so noisy. Then he lets it idle and it's a diesel. The fumes come in my window. And, it's usually anywhere between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. I so miss being able to open windows. What are you gonna do? :shrug: Other than that, he is a great neighbor.
