With Thanksgiving two days away, I want to step back and take some time to appreciate all that I have been given in life by my Creator.

I'm thankful that I still have my Mom, who is doing well at the age of 89, and my step-Dad who is still the apple of Mom's eye.

I'm thankful for my four brothers and six sisters whom I love dearly and who love me.

I'm thankful for my three children, two young men and a young lady. I thank God for guiding me through the tough teen years and although I miss the children they were, I love the adults they have grown to be.

I'm thankful for the my son-in-law, who has proven to be a wonderful husband to my daughter and an exceptional father to my grandchildren.

I'm thankful for my granddaughter and my grandson who have brought more joy to my life than I could have ever imagined.

I'm thankful for my friends, both online and in my real life.

I'm thankful that no matter how trying times may be, God never turns His back on me.

It's important to stop and appreciate all that we have been given. What are you thankful for this holiday season?

Catherine,

Good thread. I've been thinking about this ...

I'm most thankful that for my husband. I love him so much, don't know what I would do with out him. Last year in October he had open heart surgery. It's made both of us very aware of our mortality even though we aren't 40 yet.

I'm also thankful for my job. Though I hate the hours (midnights) I'm thankful to have the work. We have a 20% unemployment rate in our county. I work at the local hospital and it's one of the largest employers in the county. The only others would be the county workers or the school.

I'm also thankful for my family, even though I dont have the best relationship with them.

I'm also thankful for my friends. I don't have many, but those I do have I hold very dear.

I'm also thankful for websites like this. I wish everyone had more time with their life to be here.

I hope every stays safe this holiday season.

I am a little late for Thanksgiving, but am still thankful for many things.

I am thankful for a husband who loves me very much.

I am thankful for good friends.

I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and food in the cupboard.

I am thankful for all the Lord has blessed me with.

There are days that I neglect to say Thank you, so I will say it today. I am thankful for all that the Lord has blessed me with.

I'm late in responding as well, but I think it is good to think of what we are thankful for everyday, not just on Thanksgiving.

This year has been a very rough year. There have been many times I haven't felt too thankful but then I step back and realized how much better off I am than many people.

Although there aer so many more things I am thankful for, the main things are:

Family

Friends

A roof over my head and food on my table

Finding another job in a reasonable timeframe

Take care
