Okay now that we've discussed tattoos....
I have a pierced nose that I typically wear a tiny little rhinestone in and...... a pierced tongue.
Pamela
I got my belly-buttoned pierced when I was 21 - to declare my independence - but took it out about 2 years after that. Now I just have a hole. ;)

Just ears. Had two in one ear for awhile, but it kept getting infected so I removed it. Would love to have one high up on my ear, but I imagine it wouldn't be a go either, so I just use those fake hoop ones.

When I see piercings I think "Ouch!"
But they don't bother me as much as some slogans that I see on t-shirts.
Sheeeeeesh!

I only have my ears pierced. 5 in each ear. 2 on the inside of each ear and 4 on the outside of each ear.
Had to remove them all for my hyster, but I put in silicone replacements then just put my earrings back in right after.
I have never had any complaints from employers.
I love all of my earrings and I get a lot of compliments, but a lot of "how did you do that???"s on the inside ones.

Currently only ears are pierced, 2 in each. Had my nose pierced twice (on both sides...not at the same time...) but could keep it from getting infected. Would love to have my eyebrow done, but work wont allow it (made a co-worker remove hers when she joinned last year) and thinking about having the inner ear bump pierced (not sure what it is called).

I have always!!!! wanted my nose pierced. How did that go for you that had it done? I had my ears repierced again in the 2nd hole and one got infected. So that has made me wary of getting my nose pierced. I also have horrible sinus problems...would that be a pain also?

I had my belly button pierced two days ago. I am 34 and even though I have stretch marks  it made me feel better about myself.

I have my nose done and I have 2 on my right eye :)
I know I know some might think it really stands out but it really does not. I have a tiny diamond for my nose which if you are not looking for you can not really see. For my eyes I have a purple blue color. Ya know the color that looks different from every angle.
I would like to get more ;)

I had five holes put in my ears..... However, once i reached a certain age i wanted to take them out.... BUT i developed this large lump behind one of my ears. I needed to have plastic surgery to get rid of this large lump that developed. I was told that I would probably develope another lump in the other ear if i did not put earrings back in. So now i am 40 years old with 5 holes in my left ear and 2 in my right. To some that may be "cool" but to most it is ridiculious. Am i sorry? I still have not figured that out.....

Only two holes - one in each ear. I briefly considered getting my nose pierced. So many of my fellow graduate students had cute little diamond studs in their nostrils. However, given how bad my allergies have been since I moved to Missouri, I'm glad I didn't go through with it. Plus, I hate needles and piercing 'guns.'
I'm curious to know: how old were folks when they got their ears pierced? My mom made me wait until I was 15. Most of my friends had it done in grade school. I see tons of babies with pierced ears these days.

joyinaz...congrats on the nose peircing, how is it going?
KCGal, I had to wait until I was in grade 7 for my first set of holes, the second I did in grade 10 and my parents were so mad about it!! Compared to the tattoo's I now have and nose piercing (I did have) really it was nothing....LOL

I had my ears pierced, like a good little girl at a doctor's office, when I was in JHS, don't remember what year.
My mother was very happy when I said I wanted to have my ears piereced. In her neck of the woods, the midwife (we're talking about small town Europe pre-WWII) did the deed, but not immediately following the little girl's birth, of course.

One of the cashiers at my local Target has several piercings on his lips, more on his nose and eyebrows, and at least 10 on each ear.....yes 10, I'm not exaggerating.
I'm sure this young fellow is very nice, but I didn't go to him with my purchases. I'm very surprised that Target allows this. Where I work they don't allow any facial jewelry.

When I was cashiering the other day I saw a woman (about 30ish) with a piercing about where a necklace would hang down.
What is up with that?!? Anyone else ever see that or have it?

I work with a lot of people with odd piercing, and the stretched ear lobes, and many tattoos. Since the company has now expanded to the suburbs they are getting a little harsher on apperance. There are now certain rules as to where the piercings can be..how large they can be, and how many tattoos can be seen. I don't necessarily agree with the rules. They don't affect me though, I just can't believe how many people sterotype them, or don't wnat to be served by them.

Personally, I don't care how many piercings a person has. I doesn't change who they are. I don't like piercings, but it doesn't gross me out to see a ring in an eyebrow or a belly button ring.
The reason I couldn't go to the cashier with all the metal in his face is because it made me feel creepy. Somehow seeing all those rings and studs in his lips and between his nostrils was more than I could look at.
