Our bodies are amazing. We can push and push ourselves through the hustle and bustle of our schedules, grabbing meals on the run to meet with our next appointment or get our children to the next sporting event.
When we are the most busy is when our bodies need rest. A headache, a short fuse, the ache in our backs call out to us for attention. Rest is a natural prescription for well-being and productivity.
When your busy and stressful life leaves you feeling tired, dull and lifeless, take a nap. If sleep escapes you, lean back, close your eyes and rest for a few minutes. Within moments you will feel refreshed. Spend a few minutes thanking God for His refreshment.
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone. O Lord make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
