3.Next, you will need to line your hole with a pond liner. Some people choose to forgo this step. If your soil contains a lot of clay, you might be able to leave the liner out. You will then need to add gravel to the bottom of your pond, so keep this in mind while digging it. Another tip for how to build a pond is to place heavy rocks along the sides of the liner to hold it in place. You can cut it to size and bury the edges.
4.A lot of people choose to add a pump and filter to their pond. With a small one, you don’t have to. However, if you choose to do so, you should do it now.
